Concealed ducts and duct testing

Ducts out of sight, sealed and tested.

Ducts go above the ceiling or below the floor, air comes through slot diffusers, and the room looks untouched. California requires duct testing on most system changes, and we schedule it.

What's included

What we do.

Everything here is part of the job, not an extra.

  • Hidden ducts

Above the ceiling or below the floor.

  • Slot diffusers

Air comes through a slim slot instead of a big grille.

  • Equipment you can reach

The air handler goes in a closet, attic or basement, with filters reachable without moving furniture.

  • Duct testing

California requires HERS duct testing on most system changes that involve ducts. We seal the joints and schedule the test.

Questions

Common questions.

Anything else, call or text me.

Why does California require duct testing?

The state energy code requires duct leakage testing by an independent HERS rater on most system replacements that involve ducts, because leaky ducts waste energy.

Can the HVAC equipment be completely hidden?

Usually. Ducts go above the ceiling or below the floor, air comes through slot diffusers, and the air handler goes in a closet, attic or basement.
